How do you merge cells with the same content in an Excel table?
As shown in the following figure, the data on the left is two columns in the provinces and cities in the province, which occupy a lot of space. And the right side of a province corresponds to the corresponding city, looks more concise. This can simplify the complexity of the data after processing.
Steps
1, such a problem of course can be entered at 1.1 or copy text into the same cell, but the data is not good, if the number of such a workload is very large. So we take the following approach to achieve the goal.
2, first set up a secondary column, named "Results" (the name of God horse does not matter ~) in the C2 cell input formula =if (a2=a3,b2& "," &c3,b2). Fills down to the last row of the table.
3. At this point, it can be found that the first occurrence of the line in each province shows a comma-linked text of all cities in the province. These texts are exactly the result we want!
4, copy the third column, still in the third column "Paste selectively", the third column of the formula into a numerical value.
