Suggest a new meeting time in Outlook 2016 for MAC, when you receive an invitation to a meeting, but the time conflicts with another appointment on your calendar, you can suggest a new meeting time from your e-mail inbox or Calendar. Suggest a new meeting time from your e-mail inbox.

In your e-mail inbox, double-click the meeting request to open it. Click Propose New time, and then select one of the following actions:

Tip: By selecting this option, if the meeting organizer does not accept the new time you suggested, you will be shown as "tentative" attendees in the calendar.
Decline and suggest a new time
Tip: By selecting this option, if the meeting organizer does not accept the new time you suggested, the calendar will show you as not attending the meeting. Enter a date and time for the new meeting proposal, and then click Propose New Time.

Add a note to the body of the message, and then click Send. Suggest a new meeting time from the calendar. If you have accepted a meeting request and decided to propose a new time later, you can do so from the calendar. In the calendar, right-click the meeting for which you want to suggest a new time, click Propose New Time, and then select one of the following actions:
