How does the Mac 64-bit Chrome browser

Earlier this week, Google announced the launch of its 64-bit chrome, though it only supported Windows 7/8. Today, Google released a beta version of Chrome 38, the biggest change is the first to support 64-bit Mac, in addition to the security and memory-consuming aspects of the optimization.

With a wide range of 64-bit processors in Mac, the 64-bit Mac version has access to a better set of instructions and more registers, and less memory consumption as 64 bits do not require compatibility preparation. But rising from 32 to 64 does not mean that performance increases are noticeable, and it is difficult for users to perceive big differences.

Future Mac version of Chrome will no longer support the 32-bit NPAPI plug-ins, will be more inclined to the HTML 5 API. Stable version of the 64-bit Mac version of Chrome may be launched in one months.
