How bak files are restored to the database

1. Right-click the Databases folder under the SQLServer2000 instance. is the icon on the top level of the database, such as Master. Select "All Tasks", "Restore Database"

2. In "Revert to database", fill in the name of the database you wish to restore. The name should match the name of the database used in your source code.

3. In the popup dialog box, select "From Device"

4. Click "Select Device"

5. Click "Add"

6. Click on the "..." button to the right of the "file name" text box to select your ". BAK file, and click OK to return to the Select Restore Device dialog box.

7. Click OK to return to the Restore Database dialog box.

8. Click on the "Options" tab

9. Change all the paths under "move to physical file name" to the path you want to save the database file to after you restore it. If you don't want to change, you can click OK directly. Then the recovery was successful.
