How Mac Modifies folder icons

1. Let's open a picture on your Mac that you want as a folder icon and open it directly in the preview. Like I'm here to open an icon, as shown in the figure

2. Next, in the Preview box, select the picture you want as the new icon in the folder, and then press Commadn+c to copy the content.

3. Then select the folder you want to change the icon for, right-click and select the "Show info" option.

4, next in the folder introduction information, please use the mouse to click on the upper left corner of the "folder" icon, as shown in the picture

5. Then we press the COMMAND+V key to paste the previously copied content from the preview onto the folder icon. Here you can see that my previous copy of the PC6 Apple icon has become the icon of the current folder, as shown in the figure below

6. If you want to change other icons for the folder in the future, follow the above procedure. In addition, if we want to restore the original system default folder icon, please click on the folder's introduction to the upper left corner of the icon, and then press the DELETE key on the keyboard.
