Sherman said, if you look at something Microsoft is doing, such as image search, it is actually ahead of Google, however, Microsoft faces the challenge of persuading users to try something. But there is still room for small companies that want to share a cup of cake.

As for the search market, we can have three main TV networks compared with TV. People are used to this, and they don't think there are other options, advertisers also think they have all the resources for the public. Suddenly, we have a cable TV with 500 channels, and each channel is oriented to a base market, they bring more choices to the audience, which is also attractive to advertisers.

We still have room for improvement. new companies are emerging. Wipers released their own open-source search engine last year. The Russian search engine quintura said they are not afraid of Google and blinkx is engaged in video search, powerset is also evolving in semantic search. kosmix is developing topic search.

Sherman said that there are still many opportunities in the search engine market, and Google is doing very well in navigation search, but if you want to find a particular piece of information, sometimes it may not be good, these opportunities exist in some branch technologies and may not be developed by Google because of the high risk.
