Document Settings (File settings) is used by the user to define the settings of the current file, including: Drawing settings, description text settings, marker text settings, print/page settings, and color settings (color palette). Drawing settings affect the selection of the drawing, such as the length of the fixed key used to draw the key; text settings affect the selection of text, such as fonts and descriptions for atomic markers, and color settings that affect the selection of the color graphics structure. When you are familiar with ChemDraw, you can change these settings as needed. This article will explain the Text Settings command in ChemDraw.
Aption/label Settings (Description text and markup text settings) can vary the description text and atomic marker text in the file drawing and formatting, which affects only the current file.
When the change description text is set, all new text descriptions are standard with the new setting, and the original atomic markers do not change. When you change the atomic marker text setting, all new atomic marker text is set to the new standard, but the original atomic marker changes proportionally as the new setting changes. This proportional variation provides a setting for the relationship between atomic markers in different atoms. If you frequently use the same settings, you can store the text settings in style sheets.
