the WPS table sets the method for filling the range:
Open the WPS table that you want to edit, as shown in the following illustration:
The mouse clicks the upper-left corner of the worksheet (where the row marker intersects the column marker), and the entire worksheet is selected as shown in the following figure.
Right-click, and choose Format cells, as shown in the following illustration:
When you click [Format cells], the Cell Format dialog window pops up, as shown in the following illustration:
Click the Protect tab in the Cell Format dialog window, under the Protection tab, remove the hook in front of the [lock], and click OK to exit. As shown in the following illustration:
After you have set up and filled out the table in your worksheet, select the range of cells that we want to protect (that is, where we don't allow changes), select the other cells (or ranges) that you want to protect by clicking the mouse, right-click on the selected cells, select Format cells, and in the cell formatting window that pops up, click Protect tab, under the Protection tab, select [Lock] and click [OK] to exit.
When the area is selected, click the Protect Sheet button at the location shown in the following illustration.
When you click the Protect Sheet button, the Protect Sheet dialog window pops up, and as shown in the following illustration, enter the protection password as prompted, and then click OK.
The area we select will be under the protection of the password and become non-editable. When we edit the protected area, a prompt appears, as shown in the following figure:
When you remove the protected area from the worksheet, the other places are editable, allowing for padding and editing, as shown in the following illustration:
