How to calculate the number of batteries for UPS

Source: Internet
Author: User

Total battery COUNT = (power/DC voltage * hours)/anchor * Number of units per group

Among them, the power is the UPS power, the DC voltage is the voltage required by the ups battery power supply, the ups DC voltage of different power is different, the number of each group is the minimum number of required battery, generally, the battery configuration must be an integer multiple of the number of blocks in each group. The common ups DC voltage and the number of blocks in each group are as follows (each battery is calculated based on 12 V ):

1 K 36 V 3 blocks
2-5 k 96 V 8 blocks
6-20 k 240 V 20 blocks
20 K or more 384 v 32 blocks

For example, if you configure a 5 K 8-hour delay ups with a power of 5000 and a dc voltage of 96 V, each group has 8 batteries and a Ah battery, the total number of batteries required is: (5000/96*8)/100*8 = 32
