Recently, I want to create a VPN Server on WINXP, find it online, find relevant information, and paste it.
Softether vpn server
Using WINXP without third-party software, you can directly build a VPN Server. If you do not use SoftEther or virtual hub, you can use WINXP to implement VPN.
Next, we will use the WINXP operating system and broadband connection to build a virtual private network.
Step 1: Create a VPN Server
Right-click, network neighbor, softether vpn client server and select Properties to Open Network Connection Properties.
In "network task", select to create a new connection.
Open the New Connection wizard. Then, softether vpn create server click Next.
Install softether vpn server
In the "Network Connection Properties" selection, click "set advanced connection", click next, and then select the first option in the next advanced connection option to accept incoming connections. Click Next.
Softether vpn server manager
After setting user permissions, softether vpn server windows click Next. In the network software option, you can add or delete permissions as needed. Generally, you can use the default value.
After you click Next, the settings of the VPN Server are complete. After you click Finish, the VPN Server is created.
Configure the IP Address Allocation of the VPN Server.
In fact, this part is not complicated, but it cannot be ignored. You still need to experiment on your own.
I just want to talk about the IP Address Allocation settings.
Right-click "incoming connections" and select Properties. Click the network tab and double-click TCP/IP to open the TCP/IP properties. Set the properties as needed.
Note: For example, from 192.168.0.20.to 192.168.0.236, the first IP address, 192.168.0.20., is the IP address allocated by the VPN Server.
Step 2 VPN Client connection settings
There is nothing to say about this step.
