How to create shortcut keys for common symbols in Word 2013

For example, in Word 2013, open the program interface and switch to the Insert tab. Click symbol/Other symbol in the symbol Options group, open the Symbol dialog box, switch to the Symbol tab, select the common symbol in the symbol list, and click the shortcut button, which opens the Customize Keyboard dialog box, in the Press the new shortcut key box to set the shortcut key for it, and click the Specify button to complete (Figure 2). When you need to enter this special symbol later, you can do it by simply pressing a predefined shortcut key.
