How to customize Data Types in EA)

ForProgramming LanguageAnd database language. EA has predefined data types. In some cases, you may need to modify the predefined type or add a new data type. The method is as follows.

I. Where to modify or add a data type
The menu path for modifying or adding a data type is: Settings> code datatypes or Settings> database datatypes.

Ii. How to add a data type
1. Select the language (product name) of the data type to be added ).
2. Click "new" and enter the new data type information.
3. Click Save.

Iii. How to modify a predefined Data Type
If you directly modify the pre-defined data type, the message "This data type already exists." is displayed, so you can only modify it in a roundabout way:
1. Modify the type name. For example, change "varchar" to "varchar2", modify other information, and save the modification.
2. Restore Type name. For example, change "varchar2" back to "varchar" and save it.
