To define a mediation server for a site
Follow the steps in this topic to use the Topology Builder to define a separate mediation server or pool on a site where enterprise voice was not previously deployed. In addition, the steps in this topic also specify how SIP listening ports are configured on the mediation server by running the Lync Server command-line management program.
If you have deployed in this site and placed in a mediation server on a front-end pool or Standard Edition Server, you can skip this topic and install the Mediation server files, but continue to configure relay and conversion rules.
Attention: |
This topic assumes that you have set up at least one internal front-end pool or Standard Edition server, such as the definition and configuration of a front-end pool in a deployment document, or the definition and configuration of Standard Edition server, as described in the publishing topology. This topic also assumes that you have defined at least one peer and that the mediation server is associated with it to provide a PSTN connection, as described in defining a peer mediation service for a site. |
You can use accounts that are members of the Administrators group to define topologies.
