Locate stakeholder
For details, see "scrum in Action". First, define the stakeholders of the developed product. The term is stakeholder.
Refer to Baidu encyclopedia's definition:
ManagementIn a sense, the stakeholder (stakeholder) is any stakeholder that is affected by organizational decisions and actions in the external environment of the Organization.
That is, outside the organization, but not limited to customers, suppliers or other associated persons. In short, this word has a wide meaning. Because if you define an organization as a team for developing products, people outside the Organization can also include other team members from the same company or department as long as they have some connection with the product.
The definition in scrum Wikipedia is:
Stakeholders (customers and providers)
Persons that affect the project's success, but only directly participate in the sprint review process.
From the above definition, we can see several points worth noting:
1. Stakeholder is not only a customer, but can be counted as long as the project is successful.
2. Stakeholder is from outside the scrum project team, so it can be from the same company or department.
3. If possible, it is helpful to invite stakeholder to represent the sprint review participating in the project.
Identify and check stakeholder's goals
It is easier to find the Goals by asking several questions about stakeholder:
1. What is your business purpose?
2. Why do you need this product?
3. How do you measure the degree of achievement?
After finding some goals, you can use the SMART principle to check each goal:
1. Specific
Everyone has the same understanding of goal.
2. measurable
Objectively measuring whether goal has reached
3. achievable
Stakeholder agrees with the definition of Goal
4. Realistic
We have enough resources to complete goal
5. Time-based
We have time to complete this goal.
