Internet Explorer blocks any third-party content from sites in the list and limits the information that these third-party sites may collect about you. For more information, see "trace protection" in Internet Explorer ".

Security Zone

By changing security settings, you can customize how Internet Explorer protects your computer against potentially harmful or malicious Web content. Internet Explorer automatically assigns all websites to a security region: Internet, local Intranet, trusted sites, or restricted sites. The default security levels of each region are different. The security level determines the types of content that may be blocked from the corresponding site. According to the security level of the site, some content may be blocked. The blocked content can only be removed after you select to allow it. The ActiveX control may not run automatically, or you may see a warning message for some sites. You can customize the settings for each region to determine the degree of protection you want or do not want.
