How to convert an MBR partition into a GPT partitioning mode

There are two ways to convert a disk in the form of a disk partition into a GPT partition form for the MBR (Master boot Record), the first from a command prompt that is brought from the system, and the second to use Third-party software, which describes two types of hair:

List volume displays a listing of basic and dynamic volumes on all disks.

Select volume selects the specified volume and shifts the focus to it, where n is the volume number. If no volume is specified, the Select command lists the volume that currently has focus. You can specify a volume by number, drive letter, or mount point path. On the base disk, selecting the volume also gives the appropriate partitioning focus.

Delete Volume deletes the selected volume. You cannot delete a system volume, boot volume, or any volume that contains an active paging file or a crash dump (memory dump).

The list disk displays lists of disks and related information about the disk, such as size, amount of free space, whether the disk is a basic or dynamic disk, and whether the disk is using either the Master Boot record (MBR) or the GUID partition table (GPT) partition form. Disks marked with an asterisk (*) have focus.

Select DISKN selects the specified disk and shifts the focus to it, where n is the disk number.

Convert GPT converts a blank basic disk with a master boot record (MBR) partition form to a basic disk with a GUID partition table (GPT) partition form.

Open a command prompt and enter diskpart into the DiskPart prompt. Win7/vista users can open the DiskPart prompt by entering DiskPart carriage return directly in the Start menu's search box.

At the DiskPart prompt, enter list volume list all volumes, use select volume to move the focus to the corresponding volume on your hard disk, such as select volume G (g is a letter on the hard disk), and then execute delete volume to select the current The volume is deleted, the volume is repeatedly selected, and the volume is deleted, until all volumes on the hard drive are deleted.

After all the volumes on your hard disk are deleted, use the list disk to list all the disks in your computer, and then use the Select Disk command to select the hard drive and then convert GPT.
