To turn off the "Find My iphone" feature first
If you have upgraded to the IOS7 system, then you need to log in to your icloud account and turn off the "Find My iphone" feature in the Setup screen before you can continue to really clean out the personal data in iOS devices.
1. Enter the "Setup" interface of iOS device, scroll down to find and enter "ICloud";
2. Continue scrolling down to find "Find My iphone" and turn it off;
3. The system will be prompted to enter the password, the password is completed after the function will be closed.
After we complete this step, we can really start to delete the data on the iOS device. But the above step is only for the IOS7 system, the old version of the system can directly proceed to the next step.
Find all the data on the iphone or ipad
1. Enter the "Setup" interface in iOS device and go to "general";
2. Scroll to the bottom of the interface to find the "restore" option;
3. Then select "Erase All content and settings";
4. The system will prompt "will delete all media and data", click "Erase iphone";
5. Once erased all the data, these contents are unable to retrieve, therefore must do well the backup.
When it's done, the iphone or ipad will start wiping out all the data and content in the device and restarting it in a few minutes. After reboot, your iOS device is restored to the factory state as it was just bought.
