Step 1. Delete the original partition
When using a notebook, if you find that there are too few hard disk partitions for ease of use, you can partition through Disk Management. The specific operation method is as follows:
Note: this operation will cause data loss on the hard disk. Back up data first.
1. Find the computer icon on the desktop.
2. Use the mouse pointer to point to the computer icon, right-click the computer, and select Manage ].
3. In Computer Management, click Disk management on the left ].
4. You can see two partitions in disk management: [C] and [D], as shown in the figure below:
5. Use the mouse pointer to point to the D partition, right-click the partition, and select Delete volume ].
6. When the message "delete simple volume" appears, click "yes" at the bottom ].
7. The deleted [D] partition becomes [Unallocated] space, as shown in the figure below:
Step 2. Create multiple partitions
1. Point to the unallocated partition, right-click the partition, and select new simple volume ].
2. Click next at the bottom of the page as prompted ].
3. Fill in the size of the new partition as needed, and click next, as shown in the figure below:
4. Select allocate the following drive letter and click next ].
5. Then select format this volume according to the following settings and click next ].
6. When the prompt "creating simple volume wizard" is displayed, click "finish" at the bottom ].
7. Now we can see that the previously deleted partition has become a new [D] Partition and an [Unallocated] space, as shown in the figure below:
8. then, use the same method above to create a new partition for the remaining [Unallocated] space. The original [C] and [D] partitions will be divided into [C], [D ], [E] three partitions, as shown in the following figure:
