Excel 2007 adds a lot of three-dimensional, beautifully styled "column, line, pie," charts to chart design that can meet the needs of most environments, but there are still many imperfections. For example, the leader of the company asked to design a chart that visually reflects the progress of the employee's work, and draws a sketch of the chart (as shown in Figure 1), which requires an Excel design to produce the chart he needs.

Although Excel 2007 does not provide a symmetrical chart style to choose from, it is easy to achieve this effect.
First step: In Excel 2007, select the data that you want to make into a chart, click the "Create Chart" extension button in the lower-right corner of the Insert tab card, open the Insert Chart dialog box, select a bar style you like in the bar chart, and then click OK. (3lian.com)
Step Two: Click to select the bottom level (value) axis of the chart you just inserted. Right-click to perform the format Axis command (as shown in Figure 2), open the Format Axis dialog box, and set the minimum value in axis options to fixed:-100.

Step three: In the Format Axis dialog box, switch to the Number tab, set the number category to the custom item, and the type to the #,# #0 #,# #0 item (as shown in Figure 3).

Tip: If "type" does not have "#,# #0;" #,# #0 "option, you can enter this entry in" Format Code "and press the" Add "button to complete the add operation, which enables you to unify the current primary axis scale values with the secondary axis scale values that are added later. Makes the chart more visually readable.
Step Fourth: Select all data bar columns of the same color by clicking on any bar in the chart with the mouse. Right-click to perform the Format data series command, select the series draw in item as the secondary axis in the Series Options tab, and press the Close button. (3lian material)
Step Fifth: Click on the "secondary axis horizontal (value) axis" Item just appearing above the chart. Right-click to perform the format Axis command, also set the minimum value in axis options to fixed:-100, and switch to the Number tab to set the number category to the custom #,# #0 #,# #0 "item. The most important thing is to check the "reverse Tick value" item (Figure 4) in the Axis Options tab, and then press the Close button to see if your symmetry chart is done.
