i) Recovery of files or folders

Not writing new files to the target partition is conceptually easy to understand, but it's not as easy as it really is. Because Windows generates some temporary files in each partition, plus the ability to automatically scan the partitions at startup, you may have written a new file and you don't know it if it's improperly set up or if you're not aware of the operation.

1. Note The settings for Windows scanning and reporting

Default state, Windows detects partition errors at startup, and if the last time it was an abnormal shutdown, you see a scanned task and progress bar that is useful for resolving cross link errors, but can cause fatal damage to files to be recovered-because after the scan is completed, Windows generates information reports that may have just (taken) the key bytes of the target file, and if it is an executable, it will not work if it is barely recovered. After you have entered Windows, you are also requested not to scan the target partition for disk scans, because by default, Windows will cross-link files and file fragments into *. CHK, it is also possible to destroy your target file. If you are using Windows 98, it is recommended that you set up in Msdos.sys, add a autoscan=0 to the option group, and screen the boot scan, and if it is Windows 2000 or XP, enter Windows directly by using disk detection in the return state.

2. Do not install new software or run new tasks

In particular, do not install new software to the recovery target partition, even the recovery software itself. For example, you want to restore the C disk was mistakenly deleted data, and tool software is the default point of the C-disk, you go all the way to install, it may be all over; If your virtual memory is set to C, do not open a new task at this time to avoid overwriting the data because of changes in virtual memory. You should change the virtual memory pointing path in system, and then restart Windows, and then install the recovery software to a partition other than the target.

3. Tips for operational recovery

(1) Scanning techniques for recovery tools. In general, mistakenly delete files are immediately found their own misoperation, so just deleted the file in the disk in the file allocation table in a higher position, we can use this to speed up the recovery speed. For example, you run easy Recover, after the target partition is selected, as long as scanning about 5% of the directory tree, about 3,000 to 5,000 files around, you can terminate the scan, and then into the next step, generally can be found. This approach is easier than looking for a recovery file after a full scan, if you scan all the files, there may be tens of thousands of or even 10多万个 that have been deleted, and it's more difficult to find the target you want to recover from-because in your machine, several files of the same file name may have been generated at different times, in order to prevent confusion, The recovery software typically marks these similar files as--the beginning, the end of the numbers, and you can't find them by the first letter, you have to recognize them by your eyes, and too many choices can dazzle you. When you terminate a scan, you can choose to save the current scan progress, and if the number of 5% does not find your target, you can continue the scan at this pace without starting from scratch. Note that this save operation is also not placed in the target partition, and that you want to specify a path to disk. The undelete software in the DOS era can only handle fat formats, and is powerless for long file name structures.

(2) Word processing software related documents such as WPS or word processing software, in addition to using the recovery tool, can also enter its installation directory, to find hidden temporary files directly restore. Because such software generates a fallback file for the file you are currently working on, and does not automatically delete it, you can type attrib*.*-h in the target directory in DOS to eliminate the temporary file's hidden state, and then change the suffix name to *. doc* or. WPS, it may have been successfully restored. Of course, the temporary file can have more than 10, the name is also strange, you open a look at which is the bar.

After you delete a hard disk partition with the Fdisk command, the surface is that the data on your hard disk has completely disappeared, and when you do not format it, the drive will appear invalid. If you understand how FDISK works, you'll know that Fdisk only rewrote the contents of the hard drive's main boot sector (0 0 1 sectors), specifically deleting the hard disk's partition table information, and the data on any partition on the hard drive is unchanged. You can use the fix method of "partitioned table errors" to try to recover the partition, which is data, but only after you have deleted or rebuilt the partition; If you have formatted the partition with the format command, restore the partition data after the partition has been restored.

Ii. Considerations for resuming partitions

The main point here is that there is no proper backup of the partition table, the recovery of the partition, and the recovery of the partitioned table backup is simple, this is not repeated here.

1. NTFS format do not rush to reload the system

If you are using the NTFS format, Windows is running a problem. Even if the partition table is not damaged, you can see the partition, and do not rush to reload the system. Because NTFS is privileged to encrypt and the keys that are encrypted under an operating system are unique, you may not be able to read NTFS-encrypted folders if you reload the system, even if it is the same 2000 or XP version. Lower-level formatting is not easy to try.

3. If the partition is incorrectly formatted, if you have the conditions, it is best to use the ghost backup mirror to the whole of the other hard drive, and then try a variety of tools to restore operations.

In general, completely lossless recovery is not possible, can only restore like MP3, documents, mail and so on stand-alone files, for some to VxD device files, DLL Dynamic Link dialog box running software, intact recovery is unlikely. Therefore, the operation of the partition must be cautious!

2. Back up the current partitioned table state before rebuilding the partitioned table with tools such as NDD

Before using a software operation such as KV or Norton with the ability to detect and reconstruct partitioned tables, back up the current partition table, even if it is not currently in a normal state. This is to prevent the operation of failure, resulting in more losses. In the normal state, be careful not to in the antivirus software in Random point "restore partition Table", like KV series, nothing disorderly "restore" words sometimes lead to system crashes.
