How to transfer documents using ITunes

If we edited the pages document on a Mac, how do I transfer it to other iOS devices for reading? You can actually use ITunes on your computer to transfer documents directly between your iPad, IPhone or iPod touch and your computer. When you're not using ICloud, this may be useful for transferring documents between the MAC version of pages and the IOS version of pages. Here's a tutorial on how to use itunes to transfer documents:

1. Connect your IOS device to your computer, and then open iTunes on your computer. Wait a moment and the IOS device will appear on the right side of the ITunes toolbar.

2. In ITunes, select your IOS device and click Apps.

3. Scroll to the bottom of the Applications window, and then click Pages in the Applications list under file sharing.

4. Click Add, select the file, and then click Open.

5. Open Pages on your IOS device.

6. In the document manager, tap +, then tap Copy from ITunes.

7. Tap the document.

8. After the transfer is complete, the document will appear in the document manager.

Pages can open documents that are stored using certain types of file encryption features that are available in Microsoft Office 97 or later versions. If you can't open an encrypted Microsoft Word document, try changing the encryption type or encryption option you're using, and then re-store it and open it in Pages.

Pages cannot import files of type multi-information Text format (. rtf). Convert the. rtf file to another supported file type, and then import the file to Pages.
