The Windows log is located in a computer-managed Event Viewer for storing events from legacy applications and events that apply to the entire system.
The Windows log for the Win7 system includes five categories, namely, the application log, the security log, the system log, the installer log, and the forwarding event log.
The Application log contains events that are logged by the application; The security log contains the system's logins, use of file resources, and events related to system security; The System log contains events logged by Windows system components; The Installer log contains events related to application installation; Forwarding event logs are used to store events collected from remote computers.
Let's look at how to view the Windows log below.
1, right click on the desktop or the Start menu of "Computer", select "Management", as shown in Figure 1

2, then the pop-up is the "Computer Management" window, expand the "Event Viewer"-"Windows Log", in the Drop-down directory that is the five types of Windows logs mentioned earlier. As shown in Figure 2

3, in the "Windows log" directory, click on any one, you can view the relevant log. As shown in Figure 3

Windows logs are primarily provided to professionals to analyze system problems and cause problems, and for ordinary users, Windows logs can sometimes be worthless and occupy C disk space. If the system runs smoothly, it can be cleaned up for a period of time, and most of the security software and system optimization software provides Windows log cleanup capabilities.
