How to Implement smart load balancing on routers

Intelligent Server Load balancer is very important for Routers. Here we mainly introduce how to achieve intelligent Server Load balancer on routers. The concept of "Server Load balancer" is applied to networks, to put it simply, multiple network device channels are used to evenly share traffic.

It is like the principle that a temple needs to pick 10 buckets of water a day and one monk must take 10 trips, but at the same time, ten monks can be assigned to complete the work as long as one trip. Smart Server Load balancer can work with multiple network devices at the same time to accelerate the processing of network information, optimize the performance of network devices, and replace the fate that devices must be constantly upgraded or eliminated. It is widely used in network devices, such as servers, routers, and switches. Currently, three different smart load balancing modes are proposed, which can comprehensively include measures to be taken in various network architectures. The three modes are:

Mode 1: intelligent Server Load balancer

The smart Server Load balancer mode automatically completes the smart Server Load balancer Based on the bandwidth ratio of the connected WAN end, and further assists in optimizing the bandwidth usage. In the smart Server Load balancer model, Qno has two options: online Server Load balancer and IP Server Load balancer. The number of online machines is allocated evenly Based on the bandwidth ratio of the WAN end. For example, if WAN1 is connected to 4 M and WAN2 is connected to 2 M, the online quantity is allocated based on. This configuration is the most common configuration mode for network administrators.

The IP balancing mode is used to avoid some websites, such as EX-banking websites or HTTPS websites. It can only accept the bottleneck of packets sent from the same public IP address. If the smart Server Load balancer mode is used, the access packets sent by this IP address may not necessarily flow out of the fixed WAN port, resulting in DOS for a specific website and disconnection. If IP balancing is used, the IP address is allocated evenly Based on the bandwidth of the WAN end. For example, if the bandwidth ratio of WAN1 to WAN2 is, PC1 and PC2 go to WAN1 and PC3 go to WAN2, PC4 and PC5 go to WAN1 ......, The Application Service packets sent from the same Intranet PC are all sent out from the public IP address of the fixed WAN port. The overall Intranet IP address is automatically configured based on the bandwidth proportion. This configuration is suitable when you need to access a specific website.

Mode 2: specify a route

Compared with smart Server Load balancer, a specified route retains more flexible settings and exceptions. Because intelligent Server Load balancer distributes the number of connections in the Intranet or the IP address of the entire server Load balancer instance. You cannot specify an application service, a specific IP address, or a specific website address. Therefore, it may sometimes cause certain services, such as email, VOIP, etc.) or specific people, such as company owners and executives, to be unable to enjoy preferential or exceptional inconvenience. Therefore, specifying a route is to provide protocol binding. You must specify the application service, IP address segment, target URL, and WAN port respectively. The remaining unbound parts are used for smart Server Load balancer. There are also two options: Protocol binding mode or IP address balancing mode.

Mode 3: Policy Routing

The cross-network bottleneck that China Telecom and China Netcom cannot interwork with each other is widespread in mainland China. If a company accesses the China Telecom Network line at the same time, it may obviously find that it wants to access the services provided by China Telecom, such as game downloads and other applications, this is the problem caused by the difficulty of mutual access between servers.

Policy routing settings enable the delivery of two or more ISP lines that are not interconnected with each other, so that the telecom service can go through the China Telecom and China Netcom services to accelerate service access and greatly reduce the bottleneck of cross-network access. Qno uses the built-in Netcom policy mode in product interface design. You can quickly set the WAN ports that are only accessible to China Netcom. If other ISP lines require policy routing, you can also customize the policy mode. In addition to the common application of Policy Routing in China Telecom and China Netcom, it can also be used in the dual-network configuration architecture of multinational enterprises, campus network leased lines, public networks, medical insurance leased lines, and general networks, it can help to integrate and accelerate the service quality of dual networks.
