1. Through the software recommended installation method, to achieve the rapid installation of Linux system.
Open the VMware Workstation Pro software, go to the homepage, click the new virtual Machine button,
After entering the wizard page, select a typical installation and click the Next button
Select the Linux system version image you want to install and click the Next button
Fill in your Linux host name and your user account and password. Click the Next button
Name your virtual machine and select its installation location, click the Next button
Specify the disk capacity for your virtual machine, the Linux system defaults to 20G, it is recommended to tick the ' Save virtual disk as a single file ' option, click the Next button
After confirming the virtual machine information, click Finish and the virtual machine creation is finished.
Opens the created virtual machine, automatically enters the installation interface, waits for the installation to finish, the Linux operating system installs completes.
2. Define your own Linux hosts with a custom installation
Select Custom installation in the Setup Wizard and click the Next button
Select your virtual machine hardware compatibility, leave the default, and click the Next button
In the interface for installing the operating system, choose to install the operating system later, create a blank hard disk for the virtual machine, and click the Next button
Select the operating system and version for your virtual machine and click the Next button
Name your virtual machine, select the installation location, click the Next button
Configure the processor for your virtual machine, configure the processor for your virtual machine according to your real-computer configuration, and click the Next button
Set the memory of the virtual machine, leave the default on the line, click the Next button
Add the network type of the virtual machine, leave the default on the line, click the Next button
Select the I/O controller type, leave the default, click the Next button
Select the disk type, leave the default, and click the Next button
Select the disk for the virtual machine, click New Virtual Disk, and click the Next button
Specify the disk capacity of the virtual machine, choose to save the virtual machine as a single file, click the Next button
Select the location where the disk files are saved and click the Next button
Confirm the virtual machine settings, click Finish, complete the creation
Open the virtual machine settings, put the Linux image file in the CD-ROM, open the virtual machine
Select the system version and type of installation
Enter the disc detection interface, you can choose skip Skip
After the disc detection is complete or after a direct jump, go to the Setup Wizard
Select the language and click the Next button
Select the keyboard type and click the Next button
Select the storage device and click the Next button
To name the virtual machine, click the Next button
Select the time zone of the virtual machine and click the Next button
Create the root user's password and click the Next button
Installation type selection, choose Create custom Layout, click Next button
Enter the hard disk initialization interface, according to the actual situation, choose whether to keep the data on the hard disk, into the hard disk partition interface
Partition the hard disk, create a partition with the/boot file as a mount point, 200MB
Create a partition with the/opt file as a mount point, which you can set as needed
Create a swap partition, preferably twice times the size of memory
Create a partition with a mount point as the root directory
Partition Creation Complete
formatting and writing modifications to the disk
Select the installation location for the bootstrapper and click the Next button
Select the installation component of the system and click the Next button
Installation start
Once the installation is complete, click Reboot or restart the console to enter the system
