The basic principle of implementation is to copy the corresponding files in the Windows XP system to the corresponding directory of Windows 7 for implementation. Since the author's computer is installed (WinXP and Win7) dual system, it is easier to implement. WinXP is installed on drive C, while Win7 is installed on drive D.
Method/step
Go to the "X: Windowsinf" directory and copy the "netnwlnk. inf" file in WinXP to the corresponding Windows 7 directory.
Go to the "X: WindowsSystem32" directory and copy the files "wshisn. dll", "rtipxmib. dll", and "nwprovau. dll" in WinXP to the corresponding Windows 7 directory.
Go to the "X: WindowsSystem32Drivers" directory and copy the files "nwlnkipx. sys" and "nwlnkspx. sys" in WinXP to the corresponding Win7 directory.
Add IPX protocol. Open control panel and go to network and Internet. Right-click "local connection" and select "attribute" from the menu.
In the "local connection properties" window, click "install", select "protocol" in the pop-up window, and click "add ", then, in the pop-up "add network protocol" window, select "IPX/SPX" under "Microsoft", and click "OK" for installation. After the installation is complete, you will find that the IPX protocol already exists in the protocol list.
