How to install the GUEST agent and driver on a RED HAT ENTERPRISE LINUX virtual machine in the Rhev platform

Use the rhevm-guest-agent package provided by the Red Hat Enterprise virtualization Agent software warehouse to install red on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux virtual machine Hat Enterprise Virtualization Guest agent and driver.

To install the guest agent and driver on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux virtual machine:

1. Log on to the Red Hat Enterprise Linux virtual machine.

2. Enable the Red Hat Enterprise virtualization Agent repository:

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6

  # Subscription-manager Repos--enable=rhel-6-server-rhev-agent-rpms

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7

  # Subscription-manager Repos--enable=rhel-7-server-rh-common-rpms

Install Rhevm-guest-agent-common and related dependent software: # Yum install Rhevm-guest-agent-common enable service:

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6

  # service Ovirt-guest-agent start# chkconfig ovirt-guest-agent on

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7

  # Systemctl start ovirt-guest-agent.service# systemctl enable Ovirt-guest-agent.service

You have installed the guest agent, which can pass the usage information to Red Hat Enterprise virtualization Manager. The Red Hat Enterprise virtualization agent is named as aovirt-guest-agentService runs, you can use the/etc/In the Directoryovirt-guest-agent.confConfiguration file to configure it.
