1. Let the login interface change to a background color

The background color of the Windows XP login interface is blue by default, and you can change colors if you are tired of watching. Open Registry Editor and expand Hkey USERS. DefaultControl panelcolors, double-click the Background subkey in the right pane to change its key value to "0 0 0" to make the login background black. If you want other colors, you can change these three numbers to adjust, what color do you want?

2. Encrypted files are no longer exposed

In an NTFS disk partition, you can see that the display color of the encrypted and hidden files is light green, which is different from other folders, it is easy to expose the privacy, the solution is to change the color.

Open Explorer, click on the menu "tools" → "Folder Options" command, in the Open Settings window, select the "View" tab. Then, in the window, remove the check state of the "display encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color" box, and after clicking the "Apply" button, the special file color in the NTFS partition is restored to normal.

3. Modify compressed file color

In NTFS disk partitions, compressed files are displayed in blue. If you don't want them to be "different", you can change the color by modifying the registry.

Open Registry Editor, expand the Hkey_current_usersoftwaremicrosoftwindowscurrentversionexplorer branch in turn, and in the right pane, create a new name named " Altencryptioncolor, and then double-click the subkey to change its key value to the RGB value of the color you want, such as the color of the normal file to display a value of "203 156 33". This way, after restarting the system, the file name color of the compressed files is the same as the normal file.

4. Make folder "Colorful"

Are you tired of seeing the folders in Windows XP appear yellow by default? Then we will change the color for them, so that the folder "reformed."

Use the ICO icon tool to extract an icon for any folder, and then use the Paint tool to open the extracted icon file, replacing the folder color with the other desired color, and saving it as an ICO icon format file after the modification is complete. Right-click the folder where you want to change the color, select Properties from the pop-up menu, and open the Properties dialog box. Switch to the Custom tab, click the Change Icon button, and in the Open Folder Icon Selection dialog box, browse to the name of the ICO icon file you just saved. Click OK, then look at this folder has been put on the "new Clothes."

5. Prohibit access to link display colors

In Windows XP, when you click a link in a Web page, the link appears purple to remind viewers not to visit the page repeatedly. Although this is a good setting, it is also clear that your privacy has been exposed. If you don't want other people to know what you've seen, you need to let IE lose memory.

Click the "tools" → "Internet Options" command in the IE menu to switch to the "General" tab in the open window. Click the Color button, and in the Open Color Settings dialog box, set the "visited" and "not accessed" colors to the same blue color. In addition, you can also check the "Use hover color" item, set the link hover color, and can set the background and text color of IE browser.

5. Color Theme and Button color

In fact, in Windows XP, you can change not only the desktop theme, but also the window's interface color. Right-click the desktop space, select the Properties command, open the Display Properties Settings window. Switch to the Appearance tab to change the color of the window by choosing the olive green or silver option in the color Scheme drop-down menu.

6. Any custom button color

Many friends can not imagine, in fact, in Windows XP, the color of the button is also arbitrary settings. Open Registry Editor, expand the Hkey_current_usercontrol panelcolors branch in turn, double-click the Bottontext subkey in the right pane, and modify its key value to the desired color value, such as red "255 0 0". When you are sure, reboot the system to see the color of the File window button turned red. If necessary, you can also modify the Hint window, highlight selection, and activate the color of the window under the branch.

7. Modify Command Window Color

In Windows XP, the most embarrassing thing to say is not the command prompt window. The dark interface looks stiff and ugly, changing its window color anyway.

In the Run dialog box, execute the CMD command, open the Command Prompt window, right-click the window title bar, select the "Default value" command in the pop-up menu, and open the Property modification window. Switch to the Color tab, click on the "screen background" item, and select the appropriate color in the color list below. If you still think it's not good enough, you can change the color of the screen text and the prompt window.
