The Driver Rollback (Driver rollback) feature helps ensure system stability. When you update a driver, the previous version of the driver package is automatically saved to a specific subfolder that is responsible for placing the system files (the system assigns a new value to the backup key in the relevant section of the registry for each driver that you back up).
If the newly installed driver does not function properly, then the Driver (Driver) tab corresponding to the device should be lowered in Device Manager (Device Manager) and click Roll back Driver (Driver rollback). To restore the previous version of the device driver.
The Driver Rollback (Driver rollback) feature allows only one rollback operation (that is, the system can only save an earlier version of the driver each time), which can be supplied for all device categories except the printer.
To roll back a driver, follow these steps in sequence:
Log in as Administrator (Admin) and start Device Manager (Device Manager): Click Start First, click Control Panel, and then select Performance and Mainten ance (performance and maintenance), and click System. Next, on the hardware (Hardware) tab, click Device Manager (Device Manager).
As shown in Figure 1, navigate to the driver who needs to perform a rollback operation, right-click the driver name, and select Properties on the shortcut menu that appears later.
