How to quickly migrate configurations and settings between Liferay sites

We often encounter problems with fast sharing between Liferay sites, porting site settings, and configuration.

Requirements Analysis:

For example, I Liferay site 1 has been configured a lot of pages, logos, resources, icons, navigation and so on. Now that I have another site of 2, I want to be able to have all the settings for Site 1 ported to site 2. The more stupid method must be to use Administrator account login site 2, and then control the site 1 settings, one of the reconfiguration. This is obviously unscientific and error-prone, especially after we have customized many pages.

Workaround:

In fact, Liferay has already considered this for us, which allows us to quickly migrate between different sites by sharing Lar packages (Liferay archive package) files. It is divided into 2 stages: 1 is in the source site export settings to Lar files, 2 is imported from the target site and the use of Lar files

Source site Export Lar file:

First, at the source site, we log in as an administrator and then navigate to >dock Bar->manage->page, which will pop up a page called "Manage page":

At this time, we select "Public Pages" on the left, and then choose "Export" on the right.

Then you'll jump out of a dialog box to choose which resources and settings you need to export, and the format and name of the exported file at the top, typically the Lar file named after the current log, as shown:

After checking that all the resources and configurations that you need to export are correct, click Export at the bottom of the dialog box.

Import Lar file for target site:

At the target site, you are still logged on as an administrator, then navigate to Dockbar->manage->page, then select Import on the Manage page, to the right, and then select the Lar file that we just exported in the local file system. It's done, it's very simple.
