How to remove the Vista system NIFS partition

Many friends already have Windows Vista installed. But everyone in the "experience" after the future of the operating system will certainly be more worried: How to uninstall AH? When you try to delete a folder such as Windows, the system prompts you to "cannot delete, Access denied" alert information. Why is that? Windows Vista has detailed access to its system folders (Windows folders, program folders, and so on) and its subfolders (clips) in order to reduce the accidental deletion of critical system files. (This is also one of the important features of NTFS) so when we try to delete a folder in another system, we are denied access because we do not have the appropriate permissions.

Some experienced friends know that as long as we regain control of the folder, we can delete it. But we turned on the Advanced tab in the properties of the Program Files folder, but found that everything was gray, could not be set, and there was an unknown user like "s-1-5-32-563". Now, let me introduce you to how to delete this folder.

1, click on the bottom "Special permissions or Advanced settings, click on the" Advanced "" Advanced "button, open the Advanced Security Settings dialog box.

2, open the "Owner" tab. We see "The owner of the project" is the unknown user mentioned just now, which is the user in Windows Vista. Depending on the characteristics of NTFS, if the current computer account gets the owner, you can change permissions for that folder. "Change owner to" lists two items: One is administrators, represents all administrator accounts on this machine, and the other is the current login account. Here, we select Administrators and select the Replace child container and owner of object check box. (Why do you want to select it?) This involves inheritance of permissions in NTFS. Normally, when we set permissions on a folder, the subfolders also have the same permissions, but that's usually the case. Because if a subfolder sets permissions that do not inherit from the parent folder, the changes we make to the parent folder, such as setting the owner's actions, do not work for this subfolder. Also, many of these folders are included in the Windows Vista System folder. Next, click on the "Apply" button, the system will automatically apply the settings to the subordinate folder.

3. After performing the operation, we found that the Security tab in the property still cannot make changes. But after we close the dialog and reopen it, we can make the settings on the permissions. Here we remove the unknown user and give administrators full control, then click the "Apply" button. But it's not enough to do that. As we mentioned above, because the subordinate subfolders do not inherit the permissions settings of the parent folder, we are the owners of these subfolders, but we do not have any permissions. We still click on the "Advanced" button. In the Permissions tab, like the owner of the setting, select Replace the permission entries for all the objects with the items shown here that can be applied to the child objects, and click the Apply button. The system prompts us to continue, click Yes, and the system will apply the permissions settings to the subfolder. When you are done, click OK to close the dialog box and the Program Files folder can be deleted.

4, in addition, in the Advanced settings, the Permissions tab also has a check box: Inherit from the parent those permission entries that can be applied to child objects, including those explicitly defined here. You can set whether the folder inherits the permissions settings of the parent folder by selecting or choosing the check box. This article is from http://bianceng.cn (learn computer)

From the example above, you know how to uninstall Windows Vista. We might as well extrapolate, in an NTFS partition, when we encounter a deleted file or folder, you should follow these steps if you are certain that the file (folder) is not being used:

1, determine whether to have the file (folder) control authority;

2, if you cannot set permissions, check whether you have sufficient permissions or the owner of the file (folder);

3, if the above two are still unable to delete, to see if the child file (folder) does not inherit the permissions settings of the parent folder.
