Some users, after installing MSE, right-click on a File/folder option that does not have the "Use Microsoft Security Essentials Scan," which may be caused by a modified version of the operating system or using other optimization software to cause the registry key to be tampered with. Follow the method below to fix it!
Create related registry key values
Open Notepad and copy and paste the following registry information:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[Hkey_classes_root*shellexcontextmenuhandlersepp]
@= "{09a47860-11b0-4da5-afa5-26d86198a780}"
[Hkey_classes_rootdirectoryshellexcontextmenuhandlersepp]
@= "{09a47860-11b0-4da5-afa5-26d86198a780}"
[Hkey_local_machinesoftwareclassesdriveshellexcontextmenuhandlersepp]
@= "{09a47860-11b0-4da5-afa5-26d86198a780}"
Then save the file as "MSE Fix.reg", note that the extension is Reg, save the type "all Files (*.*)" Instead of "text file (TXT)".
Double-click the MSE fix.reg file on your desktop to import the registry, and when you pop up the confirmation prompt, click Yes.
After the import, right click again, the problem can be solved, if there is an exception, please use the registry backup in the first step to restore.
