Bold and italic are the more common font styles, and in Word2013 documents, users can set the bold and italic style of the text in the following ways.
Method 1: Open the Word2013 document window and select the text block you want to set to bold or italic. Click the Bold or Italic button in the Font group in the start Ribbon, as shown in Figure 2013080124.

Method 2: Open the Word2013 document window and select the text block you want to set to bold or italic. Right-click the selected text block and click the Bold or Italic button in the floating toolbar, as shown in Figure 2013080125.

Method 3: Open the WORD2013 document window and select the text block you want to set to bold or italic. Press Ctrl+b to add bold text and press Ctrl+i to skew the text.
Method 4: Open the Word2013 document window and select the text block you want to set to bold or italic. Click the Display Font Dialog button in the Font group in the start Ribbon to open the Font dialog box. Select the bold, italic, or bold italic option in the Glyph list, and click OK, as shown in Figure 2013080126.
