How to set the 1920x1080 resolution for Ubuntu in a virtual machine __ubuntu

Preface

Installed in Ubuntu virtual machine people should know, just installed the system, the resolution of the heinous, simply can not be happy to use, so must be adjusted, but some resolution Ubuntu inside also do not, this requires our own customization. Custom Resolution

1. Input: $CVT 1920 1080
The result returned is:
# 1920x1080 59.96 Hz (CVT 2.07m9) hsync:67.16 kHz; pclk:173.00 MHz
Modeline "1920x1080_60.00" 173.00 1920 2048 2248 2576 1080 1083 1088 1120-hsync +vsync

2. View the name of the monitor
Input: $xrandr
As shown in figure:

You can see the name of my monitor is Virtual1

3. Set resolution
Input:
$sudo xrandr--newmode "1920x1080_60.00" 173.00 1920 2048 2248 2576 1080 1083 1088 1120-hsync +vsync

$sudo xrandr--addmode Virtual-1 "1920x1080_60.00"
Careful you must have found my first command the following content is the same as the result returned by my input CVT 1920 1080.

4. Choose 1920x1080
Enter System Settings–>displays, select 1920x1080 (16:9) in resolution, then click Apply.

5. Save Resolution
Now that you have set the resolution, but after the reboot, it will fail, you want to once and for all, you have to save these two commands.
Input: sudo gedit/etc/profile
