In order to read conveniently, the electronic document will often be printed on the paper, and if multi-page document printing, it is necessary to consider binding it to facilitate the preservation of documents. So before we print, we need to set up a gutter for the document, leave extra space for the document, and make sure it doesn't cover up the text.
1, on the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Margin.
Page margins
2, click "Custom Margin".
3, in the "Multiple pages" list, select "Normal".
4. In the Gutter box, enter the width of the gutter margin.
5, in the Gutter position box, click Left or Top.
Note: The Gutter position box is not available when you use symmetric margin, tile, or hinge. For these options, the gutter position is automatically determined.
The above is the way to set up the gutter in the Word2007 document, mainly through the custom margin to set, so that we can according to the binding requirements, to define the value of the margin. And, of course, select the position of the gutter, as well as the width and the multiple pages list.
