Many of my friends now have mobile storage devices, such as mobile hard disks or USB flash disks. But sometimes I copy data to the mobile hard disks and pop up a dialog box to display: if a file cannot be copied to a mobile hard disk, the request cannot be run due to an I/O device error. The "I/O device error occurred when the mobile hard disk was connected to the computer to copy data. This request cannot be run ."
Fault Analysis and solutions:
1. Do not use the front USB port or USB extended cable on the chassis. Try to use the USB interface on the motherboard, that is, the USB interface behind the chassis.
The reason is: insufficient power supply. the front USB port and USB extended cable on the chassis are both in the USB 1.1 structure, and the current mobile hard disk or USB flash drive are both USB 2.0 interfaces. Therefore, when used on the USB 1.1 hub socket, errors may occur from time to time. Even if some front USB interfaces are 2.0 standard, the resistance may rise due to repeated wiring, resulting in insufficient power supply for the USB 2.0 interface. Some computers now have several USB interfaces, usually two in front of the chassis and four in the back. Two of the four are near the mouse and keyboard interface, and two are near the NIC, when the front two USB interfaces are used, the mobile hard disk does not respond. It can be read from the USB interface Near the mouse and keyboard interface, but the system prompts "I/O device error when copying some files, unable to run this request ". At last, there is no problem with the USB interface used near the NIC.
Ii. Perform disk fragmentation for the mobile hard disk.
Cause: There are bad channels. Mobile hard disks often perform copy and clipboard operations, leaving a lot of junk file fragments in the track. You can also use the WINDOWS built-in doscommand CHKDSK/F;/P;/V. If the disk has not been sorted out for a long time and the occasional whim needs to be sorted out, we recommend that you check it once first. Syntax: CHKDSK [DRIVE:] [/P] [/R] [/F] recommended parameter/F, for example: F: \> CHKDSK/F Press enter. If the chkdsk command still does not work, it is estimated that the hard disk has a bad track and must use a bad track repair tool, such as HDDRegenerator, PartitionMagic, and FBDISK.
Supplement: if you cannot see the drive letter of the mobile hard disk on the plug-in, you can right click my computer-properties-hardware-Device Manager-disk drive to see if there is a mobile hard disk model? If you cannot see it, it is very likely that there is a problem with the mobile hard disk.
This operation is not formatted. Rest assured that the bad file in problem 1 may be solved. It is not certain. If there is a bad track, chkdsk cannot.
3. If the computer still cannot normally read data after inserting the data cable to the back of the chassis, there are several possible reasons: Reference
1: The motherboard is old, and the USB driver is not installed. (Right-click your computer and choose Properties => Device Manager-=> check whether an exclamation point exists! If yes, the driver is not installed.
2: If the hard disk is damaged, it may be that the mobile hard disk is damaged! Do not prevent low-level formatting! (Not recommended! There is no way .)
3: if it can be used on another machine, it cannot be used on another machine. This case => there should be no problem with the hard disk. Please try to upgrade the main drive.
4: If the problem persists, check whether there is a problem with the USB interface of the motherboard. Try another USB device.
5: If MP3 is used, try the following method: take out the battery --- press the enable key and connect to the computer --- open the upgrade tool, select model --- download firmware --- "firmware upgrade" -- "OK" --- upgrade ING ...; the upgrade is complete.
