How to use Excel format brushes

To quickly set the same cell format for multiple worksheets, you can do so by copying the format and using the Excel format brush to do the following:

Method one, copy paste format

First, format the range of cells in the first worksheet. Select the formatted range of cells, press CTRL + C to copy, switch to the worksheet that you want to format, select the range of cells you want to format, right-click, and select Format in the Paste Options column of the shortcut menu that pops up. option, you can copy the formatting from the previous worksheet, as shown in the figure:

Method Two, Excel format brush

Format the range of cells in the first worksheet, select a range of cells to format, click the Format Painter button in the Start tab Clipboard Group, and then switch to a worksheet that requires the same formatting, and select the range of cells you want to format, as shown in the figure:

This allows us to format the same cells with the Excel format brush.

Skill: Double-click the Format Painter button to apply to multiple areas

To set the same formatting for more than one cell or range of cells, double-click the Format Painter button in the Clipboard group to copy the format to multiple locations without exiting the format brush mode. When you finish the copy format operation, click the Format Painter button again, or press the ESC key to exit format brush mode.
