How to use Google Glasses when offline

But today's hike is a little special, because I put on Google glasses.

First of all, I am most interested in the camera of Google glasses. As we all know, taking a digital camera on a hike can be a heavy burden. Therefore, the Google glasses of a high-definition camera can be able to deal with the full picture and video, which is very convenient. In addition, it is convenient to share photos on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Evernote by using your glasses, just use some of the appropriate application software. I originally wanted to share the photos directly on the mountain, but unfortunately I couldn't get any signals at all, and Google glasses was offline. But it doesn't matter much, Google Glasses is good at background processing tasks. I can set up a photo to share on Twitter, even if the photo can't be sent now, as long as Google glasses is connected to a Wi-Fi network, it will share the photos in the background. I'm not too fond of using the voice control of eyeglasses, just use your hand to press the camera button on the right arm of the glasses. Press the button to take a picture, and hold the button for a long time to shoot a video. Although this is a bit nostalgic, but it feels more natural.

In addition, because I do not use Google glasses to query information, so the small screen of glasses appear less abrupt. I spend most of my time admiring the natural scenery and only looking at the screen of my glasses when I need to look back at a picture. That's why I almost forgot to wear my own Google glasses. I think I'm used to wearing Google glasses, it's the right weight, it feels very natural to wear. Moreover, my eyes myopic degree also is not high, even if does not have the prescription lens I also can see clearly.

In software applications, not every application is gratified. Evernote software is always used to automatically delete photos, and my photos can't be placed on the Facebook wall, it's strange. Only the Twitter and Tumblr apps are doing perfectly. Plus, Google + can also be used on glasses. Since most of my friends use Gmail, private photos are sent by email. When friends view the mailbox, they see the picture and can post a comment in the space below.

Although the Evernote software will automatically delete photos, there are still ways to get the photos back. As long as Google glasses is connected to a Wi-Fi network, I can see all the photos and videos I've taken on the automatic backup page. This feature was recently updated by Google, like the application of a camera roll. Every photo I've taken before will be stored in a webpage that is automatically backed up, so that even accidentally deleted photos can be found here.

Google glasses also has some unavoidable problems with the experience of taking photos. Although the camera of Google glasses is very high, but some factors make it feel strange to take photos. For beginners, because there is no picture frame, the photo can not be previewed before the photo is taken, so it is impossible to tell whether the photo you took is good looking. In theory, glasses will photograph the scene in front of you. If you're not used to tracking your vision, the effect is very strange. For example, you want to take a path. Your field of vision needs a little downward bias. After a few attempts, I was able to take a more normal picture. However, it is not possible to follow the three-point picture, and some of my photos do not even have a horizontal horizon. Once I thought about how good it would be to bring another camera, but then I had to learn a lot about the basic techniques of taking pictures.

It's easier to take a video because I can see the picture at any time while recording. In general, it's very casual and straightforward to take a video. Google Glasses shooting video default length is 10 seconds, this is a good setting, too long shooting time will make people wander. The video looks very lifelike and has an immersive feel.

When I got to the top of the mountain, I took a few photos and took the Google glasses off and put them in my pocket, and I wanted to wear ordinary glasses to watch the scenery when I went down the hill. But I soon regretted doing that. Because on the south side of the mountain there is a falcon hovering over the rising air, about 30 feet above the ground. I wanted to make a good video, but when I took out the Google glasses, the Falcon had flown so high that it was no longer able to shoot a clear picture.
