How to use SharePoint Central Administration Management Services

To manage service applications, the farm administrator either uses central administration or uses PowerShell.

The Management Services Application page lists the services that are running on the farm and you can manage them.

Many services have their own management pages. In this article you will learn how to navigate to these pages and what you can do with the ribbon. In this case, we use the managed Metadata service.

Get ready:

You must have access to the Admin center.

Begin:

1. Open the Central Administration website.

2. In application management--managing service applications.

You can create or edit an existing service application or a service application that connects to another farm.

3. Navigate to the Service Application Management page by clicking on the service name. Put the mouse on the managed Metadata service and it will be underlined.

4. Another way to manage services is to have Tina and the right side of the service application name, and the entire line will be highlighted.
