In the process of using Excel, we often fill in some data and series operations, so I will use Excel to fill all the situations of the handle, and summarize the content into an article, in the basic knowledge section of the Excel bar, you may not have the functions you have used!
1. First, you need to explain what is an Excel filling handle. In Excel help, the fill handle is defined as a small black box located in the lower right corner of the selected area. When the mouse points to the fill handle, the pointer of the mouse changes to a black cross. Maybe you haven't paid attention to this small detail after using Excel for so long. After we select the area, the border around the selected area will be bold, in the lower right corner, there is a smaller black block than the border, which is the Excel filling handle.
2. What is the role of the Excel filling handle. From the name, we can see that the filling handle is used to fill data, but in some cases, it can also delete the cell content and insert the cell, which will be described in detail below.
3. How to Use the fill handle. Maybe it's nonsense! But I 'd like to explain it. Move the mouse over the fill handle. Now, the mouse is changed from the cross frame type to the black cross type, and you can use the fill handle to drag the top, bottom, and left.
4. Enable and disable the fill handle. It is possible that no one will pay attention to or disable the filling handle, because it is generally available and we will not disable it. If you do not want this function (generally not) or find that the filling handle cannot be used someday, you can set it in the cell drag-and-drop function in the editing tab of the tool/option. For version 2007, click the Office button to enable the filling handle and cell drag-and-drop function in the bottom Excel options.
The above describes the basic knowledge of the Excel filling handle. Next we will explain the function of filling the handle one by one.
1. left-click filling. When we select a data area and use the left mouse button to use the fill handle, the selection area and the drag direction may have different results.
1) drag and drop a single cell. When the selection area is filled with a single cell, the default filling mode of Excel is to copy the cell, that is, the filled content is the content and format of the selected cell.
2) Select a single row and multiple columns. When the selection area is a single row and multiple columns, if the filling area is left or right, the Excel filling mode is to copy cells; if it is down, excel fills up data in sequence, and the benchmark of the sequence is the selected cells, in this case, the function is to clear the values that are included in the original selected region and not included in the current selected region.
Maybe this text is a little boring, but you should be able to understand it right away.
3) when selecting multiple rows, single columns, and multiple rows, you can refer to the instructions in section 2 and perform the operations to understand the situation.
In the excelxp version, after filling, an automatic filling option will be generated in the lower right corner. In this case, we can also select one of the options to correct the filling operation just now, if you do this, and then combine the default items of the auto-fill option at this time, you should be able to better understand the above content.
2. CTRL + left-click fill. When filling, if you press Ctrl and then open the left button before you open the left button, the filling method will be different from the default one. That is, when the original default is to copy cells, it is filled in sequence, and vice versa.
3. Shift + left-click fill. If you hold down the Shift key during filling, you can find that the shape of the mouse will change to "=" and add the next two direction keys (I don't know how to express it more appropriately ), at this time, the function of filling the handle becomes to insert or delete cells. When you drag and drop to enlarge the selected area, the function of the operation is to insert cells in the added area. When you reduce the number, the corresponding cells are deleted.
4. Right-click filling. If you use the right-click filling operation, a right-click menu will pop up after you open the right-click menu. In addition to the general options, there are also options for date and proportional or custom sequence filling. When you select multiple rows or columns, if you drag and drop to change the selected area to an hour, the function is equivalent to clearing the number of cells.
5. Double-click filling with the left button. When there are many rows of data to be filled, double-clicking the fill handle often can simplify the operation, of course, these operations can also be completed with a shortcut key.
1) When no content exists in the cell at the bottom of the selected area, Excel will automatically fill the content in the left column of the selected area with the content in the next row or the content in the left column is the same.
2) When there is content in the cell below the selected area, Excel will automatically fill in the content boundary in the selected area.
At this point, the functions and functions of the filling handle are summarized. Have you ever used the above content? If so, try to learn it right away *~ _~ * If you feel useful, introduce it to your friends.
