More information
You can only configure some message queue functions from the console session when bound to the Message Queue cluster resource virtual network name to connect to the virtual network name.
In Microsoft Windows 2000, this row limits the cluster instances that can manage Message Queue resources. In Windows 2000, you must connect to the cluster console from the cluster command prompt to manage Message Queue resources. The actual virtual computer or Terminal Server session of the connected node can be accessed through the console.
In Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Message Queuing 3.0 has similar management restrictions. Windows Server 2003 Terminal Server provides access through the terminal service cluster Virtual Machine (VM) console. However, this access is limited to one connection at a time.
Enable the Computer Management mmcv.exe utility to access these functions in the context where the network name is bound to the Message Queue resource. The mmcv.exe utility provides the same level of access if required, if you have logged on to the console to manage message queues.
