Environment support: Photoshop CS
Filters required: Gaussian blur, polar coordinates, wind
Have you ever heard of totem? Totem is the product of primitive society, different clan tribes have different totem, say simple some totem is primitive person's worship object, also is the symbol of each tribe. Below we will use Photoshop CS to make "solar clan" Totem.
1. Start Photoshop CS, create a square black background document, make sure the foreground color is white, select the Custom Shapes tool in the Toolbox, open the Custom shape color picker in the property bar, click the Black triangle button, and then select all from the menu that pops up. command loads all the shapes that come with the system into the color picker.
2. Next, select the "Sun 1" graphic in the custom shape color picker, drag the mouse over the image to draw a solar graph, and then connect the layer to the background layer to make sure the background layer is active, select the Move tool to center the sun in the property bar by clicking the vertical and horizontal buttons, as shown in Figure 1.
3. Copy the Sun layer and hide the copy, double-click the background layer to make it "layer 0", then activate the solar layer, and perform the "filter → Blur → Gaussian blur" command to apply a blur filter to the beach and set the radius to 2.5 in the Gaussian Blur dialog box.
4. Merge the "solar layer" and "layer 0" into one layer, perform the filter → distort → polar coordinates command to apply the polar coordinates filter to the beach, select the polar coordinates to planar coordinates single option in the Polar Coordinates dialog box, and then perform the edit → transform → rotate 90 degrees (clockwise) command to rotate layer 0.
5. Perform "filter → style → wind" command, set "method" as "wind" in the "Wind" dialog box, "direction" to "from right", and then reapply the filter to achieve the effect shown in Figure 2.
6. Perform the edit → transform → rotate 90 degrees (counterclockwise) command to reverse layer 0 to 90°. Then perform the filter → distort → polar coordinates command, and select the plane coordinates to polar coordinates option in the Polar Coordinates dialog box, at this point the sun has a radiant effect, and then perform the "image → Hue/saturation" command to adjust the color of their favorite light, and finally make the "Sun copy" layer to display, and filled with black , the effect is shown in Figure 3.
