The unique retro effects of Polaroid have been particularly popular in recent years and can be done using Photoshop. All the colors seen in the photos are mixed by red, green and blue three channels, and when we adjust the three channels at the same time, we can change the tone of the picture. But if the three channels are targeted adjustment, it can change the tone at the same time significantly change the color of the screen.
01 Adjustment Red
Open the photo, perform layer > new adjustment layer > levels, and OK. In the channel pull-down menu, change "RGB" to "red", and move the high smooth block left to the 243 highlight red channel highlights. Move the Black Shadow slider right to 25 to deepen the shadow. This will reduce the red color of the screen.
02 Adjustment Green
Choose Green from the Drop-down menu. Increase the Black Shadow slider to the shaded portion of the 14 dark green channel, moving the highlight to 223 light green channel brightness. Then move the gray slider to 0.87 to deepen the middle tone. Now the color of the photo seems to have a bit of a reversal of the negative punch flavor.
03 Adjustment Blues
Switch to the blue channel. Set the Black slider to 26, center 0.81, high Light 250, click OK. Now the yellow tone of the screen becomes more pronounced, and the tone contrast becomes more intense. By opening and closing the color level to adjust the front of the eye button, you can compare the effect before and after adjustment.
04 Adding dark Corners
Click the Create New Layer button below the layers panel to select the Gradient tool. Select the radial gradient and check the reverse option. Use the shortcut key D to reset the color, open the gradient Preview menu, and select the foreground color to the background gradient. Set layer 1 Blending mode to multiply, opacity 50%.
05 Creating a border
Click the Create New Layer button below the Layers panel, select the Brush tool, and select the flat blunt short hard brush from the brush preset. Use shortcut D, x to reset and swap foreground and background colors, and then hold down shift to draw a four-line border in the four corners of the screen.
06 Negative Effects
Copy the background layer and move it to the top of the layers panel. Use the shortcut key CTRL + I to reverse the color. Ctrl-Click the border layer, perform select > reverse, and then select the background copy layer to perform edit > Cut. Reduce its opacity to 20%.
