How to use the Zbrush®3d graphics drawing software tools and brushes to sculpt cool biological styling, we look at how the 3D role artist Francis-xavier Martins, who has more than 10 years of experience in gaming, media and television, is doing this:

This 3D artwork shows how to create a biological shape in a zbrush. This biological modelling is designed by Creaturebox Studio, if you have never heard of them, you can search the Internet, their design is very good!

First, a sketch of each biological element is drawn on a different subtools, the head begins with a sphere, the body and torso use a cylindrical body, and the eye part uses two spheres.

Then use Dynamesh to process each element. Use the move, the Clay build up brush and the dam standard brush on the head to get the approximate shape and make some wrinkles where necessary. Then use the curve tube brush with the size modifier to make the cone tip on top of the head.

Clay brushes are mainly used to build areas around the torso.

Use the curve brush for the body, legs, and tail, and then divide the grid by CTRL + Drag after creating a good ratio with the move brush. Use the curve tube brush to take the head as the base of the torso, adjust the shape until it is satisfied, and then split it into separate subtool using the split unmasked points.

Carving is simple, the main shape and muscle tissue use clay brush, fold part using dam standard brush, eye face and Middle ridge with standard brush. It is important to note what the different shapes are associated with, so use the combination of the mask area, and then use the move brush to combine some expansion functions to overlap the area.

The torso part has a lot of folds, if you want to express its weight, first insert the folds in the place where you want to add the folds, then use the clay brush to build the surrounding area, then adjust the inflate brush, and under the Brush menu, add gravity (gravity) so that when carving, the folds will sag, Ultimately gives a sense of weight.

Use the Insert sphere brush to complete the feet and claws and use the move brush to shape it. Separate the eyes, the color in the inside, the sclera on the outside. The details of the feet and claws are completed using orb cracks and trim dynamic brushes, for the body part, if the clay brush carving is not perfect, use the spray stroke to combine the dot with the alpha perfect detail.

As for how to draw this model, turn off the Zadd, use the standard brush to complete the polygon coloring, first draw a base color, then with a smaller stroke, and finally the model sent to Keyshot for final rendering.
