How Word completes a project drawing flowchart in three steps

1th Step: Drawing Sketches

First of all, we have a whole idea of the flow chart, the simplest way is to draw the first idea with a pen on the paper, and repeatedly modify the shape. Sketches help to sort out our ideas, and of course you can skip this step and make them directly in Word.

2nd step: Draw the canvas

The next small series takes word 2016 as an example, but in fact the operations in Word 2007/2010/2013 are basically the same. Switch to the Insert tab, click Shapes, and click the new drawing canvas from the bottom of the Drop-down box to create a canvas. This step can actually be omitted, but it is convenient for the flow chart to set the background color, landscaping.

3rd step: Draw the flowchart

Now make it in word against the sketch. Also click "Insert → shape", in the pop-up drop-down box has many shape icons, click on one, the cursor will become a big "ten" word, use it in the canvas to draw on it. In shapes, there are special flowchart-related icons and, of course, other style shapes that you can use.

Double-click the drawn shape to enter text directly in it. Alternatively, you can set a different color border for each shape, and so on. After the shapes have been drawn, you can select different line styles as needed in the lines to connect the parts of the diagram that are associated with each other, and they will connect automatically between nodes in the two shapes.

As I said earlier, the benefit of setting up a drawing canvas is that you can easily set up a background for your flowchart. Quite simply, right-click the canvas, select Format Drawing Canvas, and then give the canvas device borders, colors, and style on the right.
