Editor's comment: In fact, there is a "drop cap" feature in Word 2000. To do this, select the paragraph that you want to do the drop cap, and click the CAP under Format. In the first tab of the pop-up dialog box, there are "drop caps", "first word hanging," and so on, the drop Cap option is selected, the rest of the options are by default, click OK, and the first character of the paragraph will sink. , making a very beautiful "drop of the cap" effect. This article offers us another way to make a "drop cap", which we should draw on.
The original title of the article: the Word document cleverly implement the drop-cap typesetting effect
Word does not have a "drop cap" feature. In fact, as long as we set the character position slightly, you can achieve the "drop cap" effect.
1, start Word, open the appropriate document.
2. Select the first character and set it to a larger size.
3. Select this character again, and execute the format → Font command to open the Font dialog box.
4, switch to the "Character Spacing" tab, click the Drop-down button to the right of the location, and in the Drop-down list that appears, select the lower option and enter a number in the following point in points box (debug as needed, such as "8 points") to determine the return.
The drop cap effect is implemented (see figure below).
