1. If the computer IP address of the shared printer is "192.168.2.10", the computer name is PRINT-HP and the shared printer name is HP. Then in the "192.168.1.*" network segment of the computer want to share the use of this printer, then the two-step operation.
2. Open the Command Prompt window and go to the "c:winntsystem32driversetc" directory. Enter "Edit hosts", edit the Hosts file, start a new line at the end of the file, add "192.168.2.10 print-hp", and save and exit.
3 Click "Start → set → printer" in the "Printers" window and double-click "Add Printer". Go to the Add Printer Wizard window and click the Next button. In the local or network printer selection interface, select Network Printer, and then click the Next button. In the Find Printer window, click the Next button directly. Go to the Browse Printer window, type "\print-hphp" in the Printer field, and then click the Next button, and the wizard will automatically install the printer driver. Then, in the default printer interface, select Yes. In the Completing the Add Printer Wizard interface, you can share a printer across a network segment by clicking the "Finish" button.
