1. Configure the mirror boot disk partition table
1. Use the ioscan and diskinfo commands to confirm that there is sufficient space for creating an image boot disk.
# Ioscan-func Disk
# Diskinfo/dev/rdsk/cytydy
2. Run the strings/etc/lvmtab command to confirm that the disk is already in the volume group.
# Strings/etc/lvmtab
3. Use the idisk command to create system, OS, and service partitions
# Vi/tmp/PDF
3
EFI 500 mb
HPUX 100%
HPSP 400 mb
# Idisk-WF/tmp/pdf/dev/rdsk/cytydy
4. Create a device file for the new partition
# Insf-EC Disk
5. Confirm the Partition Table
# Idisk/dev/rdsk/cytydy
6. confirm that the device file has been created. The new boot image disk contains the cytydys1, cytydys2, and cytydys3 device files.
# Ioscan-func Disk

Ii. Configure the EFI system partition of the image boot disk
1. Run the mkboot command to create a new EFI system partition in the/EFI/HPUX directory, and copy HPUX. EFI boot loader and other files to the system partition.
# Mkboot-e-l/dev/rdsk/cytydy
2. By default, the LVM "quorum" rule requires at least 51% disk space in the vg00 volume group at startup. However, we hope that 50% of the space will be available when the vg00 volume group is used as an image. Therefore, we must disable the default "quorum" detection by changing the boot vmunix-SCSI Automatic File boot string of each disk. You can use the EFI shell command, but we can use the HPUX efi_cp command to restart the host.
# Vi/tmp/auto
Boot vmunix-SCSI
# Efi_cp-D/dev/rdsk/cxtxdxs1/tmp/auto/EFI/HPUX/auto
# Efi_cp-D/dev/rdsk/cytydys1/tmp/auto/EFI/HPUX/auto
3. Confirm the system partition content
# Efi_ls-D/dev/rdsk/cytydys1
4. Confirm the auto file content of the system partition.
# Efi_cp-D/dev/rdsk/cytydys1-U/EFI/HPUX/auto/tmp/auto
# Cat/tmp/auto

3. Configure the OS partition of the image Disk
1. Add new OS partitions to vg00 during initialization. Confirm that S2 is an OS Partition
# Pvcreate-FB/dev/rdsk/cytydys2
# Vgextend vg00/dev/DSK/cytydys2
2. All logical volumes in the image vg00
# For lV in/dev/vg00/lvol *
Do
Lvextend-M 1 $ LV
Done
3.
# Vi/STAND/bootconf
L/dev/DSK/cxtxdxs2
L/dev/DSK/cytydys2
4. confirm that the disk has been added to vg00 and the logical volume has been synchronized.
# Vgdisplay-V vg00
5. confirm that the bdra upgrade is complete. The boot, root, and swap partitions of the two disks are displayed.
# Lvlnboot-V
4. Add an image disk to the EFI Boot manager
1.
# Setboot-P 0/1/1/0.0.0
# Setboot-H 0/1/1/0.1.0
2. Check that the boot path in NVRAM is correctly configured.
# Setboot
V. Image disk boot
1. initialize the boot sequence
# Shutdown-ry 0
2. Interrupt EFI boot Management
3. Select an image Disk
4. Confirm boot from the image Disk
