HP said opteron performance is 57% higher than Xeon

HP released an AMD opteron processor server a few days ago. The evaluation report uses the webbench5.0 benchmark environment. The test uses the ProLiant dl145 server, which is just launched by HP, which uses dual-channel or single-channel opteron. In comparison, it tests Intel's Xeon server ProLiant dl140. The evaluation result is: The ProLiant dl145 with dual opteron is 57% faster than the ProLiant dl140 with Xeon, And the ProLiant dl145 with single path is 44% faster than ProLiant dl140. In addition, HP points out that its dual-path opteron server is 39% faster than a single-path server. On average, HP concluded that ProLiant dl145 is 39% faster than ProLiant dl140.
