HTML5 is a new network standard that aims to replace the existing HTML 4.01, XHTML 1.0 and DOM Level 2 HTML standards. It wants to reduce the browser's rich network application services (plug-in-based Rich Internet Application, ria) that require plug-ins, such as Adobe Flash, Microsoft Silverlight, and Sun JavaFX's demand.

HTML5 test scores are just a move to understand your browser's support for upcoming HTML5 standards and related specifications. It does not try to provide the required new functionality through testing, nor does it test every feature of the HTML5. Despite these drawbacks, we may still want to use it to solve the current level of user and network development available to better the way browsers manufacturers work to improve their browsers and web development platforms.

The calculation of this score is a test for many of the new features of HTML5. Each feature is worth more than one point. The main HTML5 specifications and other specifications are based on the HTML Working Group of the Consortium, and the test also supports the relevant drafts. Some of these specifications are only a small part of the initial HTML5, but are being further developed by other working groups of the consortium. WebGL is also a small part of this test, which expands the canvas element of a HTML5 environment.

The test also gives bonus points for supporting audio and video codecs, which support embedding SVG or MathML in a common HTML file. These tests do not count for the total score because HTML5 does not specify any required audio or video codecs. Additional SVG and MathML are not subject to HTML5 requirements, and the specification only prescribes the rules for how such content should be embedded in a normal HTML file.

Please note that the test specification is still under development and can be changed before the official status is received. In the future new tests will be added to the spec fragment, which is still unaccounted for. Should be able to get the point up to 300 at this moment but
