It wasn't until I arrived at a previous company that I realized the meaning of software development. Technology, ranging from algorithm or programming skills to Architecture Design of an application or platform, I think it is ubiquitous. Most of our software practitioners (personal opinions) refer to programming skills or Algorithm Implementation, which leads to panic about where to go after the age of 30.
I am not afraid of jokes. before entering this company, I have always had a question about the development space above Senior Software Engineer? Of course, except for the Team Leader role. Because, I think I am a more suitable person than anyone else, so I can't help but worry about the 30 s. There, I learned that software developers have a long career path and there is still a long way to go after becoming SSE, if you want to continue. First, people like me choose the technical route. Next, we can select SCE (Software Consulting Engineer), ect, Senior ect, and Chief until CTO (haha, I don't know if this is complete .); If you are interested in management, you can select SDM (Software Development Manager), SSDM (Senior Software Development Manager) until COO (Chief Operating Officer), CEO (of course, CEOs are not necessarily tech-savvy ).
Since then, I have no longer been panic about the way out after the age of 30, because I know that I still have more things to pursue. Of course, we have to mention China's national conditions. Currently, few companies in China have a complete job classification mechanism. However, I believe that this situation will change in the future.
